Meet Our Team
Aceso was founded by two pediatric intensive care (PICU) nurses who starting working together over 20 years ago taking care of the most fragile pediatric patients. Both went on to advance their careers Sarah by obtaining her JD and Samantha becoming a pediatric APRN. Their passion for patient advocacy brought them together once again combining their expertise, education, and experience to advocate for people harmed by medical negligence.
Sarah Centineo graduated from the University of Iowa with her BSN in 1997, from there she worked in pediatric home health care taking care of medically fragile children in their homes and at their schools. She started working at Children’s hospital in 1998 in the PICU. During her time at the hospital, she worked mainly in the PICU and NICU.
In 2008 Sarah started law school at Creighton University and graduated in 2011. She was recruited by a firm that did plaintiff’s medical negligence work. She found this to be a good marriage of her extensive nursing skills and her passion for patent advocacy.
Sarah ran for and was elected to her local school board in 2016, she was re-elected in 2020. She is active in the legal community and in the education community through the Iowa Association for Justice and the Nebraska Association of School Boards. She is licensed to practice law in Iowa and Nebraska and has also had cases in Illinois.

Samantha Jordan-Schaulis graduated with her ADN in 2000, from the College of Saint Mary and started her nursing career at Children's Hospital and Medical Center working in the PICU, NICU, starting the transport and ECMO teams. She obtained her BSN-MSN graduating from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2009 certified in pediatric primary care. She started her career as a pediatric critical care nurse practitioner at Nebraska Medicine. She later obtained her acute care certification in 2016 from Creighton University. She has been instrumental in serving as a leader for Nebraska Medicine serving the most fragile pediatric patients. During her career she has been an outspoken advocate for improving patient safety by helping to implement a pediatric advanced warning tool. She has a passion for chart review and improving the quality-of-care patients receive.

Samantha is an active member and officer of several professional organizations. She works to improve her own practice and that of other nurse practitioners by spending time to ensure nurse practitioners practice to the top of their license, while also acknowledging the limitations of the role of an APRN.
